Hi
Iam getting a permanent offer fron the client (County Gov). Iam on EAD.In my labor role and place are written like below.
systems analyst --- Various unanticipated client sites in Illinois,Texas and elsewhere
Duties - analyze design develop test integrate and implement software applications databases and systems using Oracle and oracle Applications,C.
My new role is Sr Operations System Analyst -- place CA
Role will be assistinginstall design test implement and integrate systems/applications with oracle and Oracle applications.
Can I go ahead with this job? Or this will not fall under AC21.
Pls advise.

USCIS kept on updating the total number of cases received for H-1B for FY 2009-10. However, the recent USCIS H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) cap count indicates decline in number of cases than what had been previously reported. The updated count reports the receipt of 44,400 �Regular� cap cases, by June 12, 2009 which is lesser than the prior count of 47,700, given as of May 22, 2009. There is no explanation too from USCIS for this decline in trend. Thus, this reduced number may reflect either withdrawals by employers, denials by the USCIS, duplicate filings, or an error in the prior cap counts.
As of this writing, both the Advanced Degree and Regular caps remain open. We will continue to provide updated H-1B cap count information.

The worrying news below talk about findings that the U.S. has lost influence abroad as a result of the Iraq war, thus encouraging detractors such as Russia and Iran...so, this begs the question: Is this really the time for the country to also encourage loss of influence at home, by promoting a massive and catastrophic Reverse Brain Drain? I am a USC living in Jordan with my Jordanian husband, he was approved to apply for SB-1 visa ( because of his expired green card) and was sent the IV packet, which included the affidavit of support, just wondering how I'm going to fill the form since I don't work (never have) and live in Jordan with my husband, I was told I should fill out zeros where numbers are required and write unemployed where asked about work, is this the case? I will have a joint sponsor who is my brother in law who is a USC living and residing in the US, will this work? Please help as I couldn't find any answers on the net ( and I have been browsing all day!)

I am working for a client which gave me an offer for a respectable amount. it is much higher than the amount specified in ETA 9089 (F/5) column. my Onet code for the original labor is 15-1071.00. my new job is defined as System Specialist. my job functions( roles) are pretty much the same as my original labor certificate. I tried to search the Onet Code for System specialist and did not find a good match.
Can any one suggest me what are the options.
I also wanted to know weather USCIS will send any letter to new employer regarding to the offer extended to me. MY situation is the client is not willing to sponsor me.

I understand that we will need to specify the date and duration in the applicaiton for AP to travel to INDIA. I am planning to go end of this year but not 100% sure and date is also not finalized.
I have following question:
1. If I mention some date in AP but could not travel around that date. Would that cause any problems?
2. What I stayed longer or shorter than specified peroid in AP? Will that cuase any issue when return to USA?
Please help me. Thank you.

What is the point of publishing dates for people to see if they have no relevance?

I had already gotten my USDOS approval and my USCIS approval for my J waiver. The whole process took less than a month which surprised us! But it was stated on the I-797 that I should start working for my employer within 90days from March 19, which will be June 19. The problem is my training program does not end until June 30. Even if I wait until June 19 to file for my H1B, and if I don't go for premium processing, once they approve it and retro-date it, there will be an overlap from June 19-30. Can I apply for the H1 on June 30 instead (when my J expires) but that will be more than 90 days from March 19? I will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi, we gat our GCs in aug 2008. My husband works for a Swiss bank in US. They are offering a promotion and move to Europe. If he accepts how will it affect our GC and eligibility for Citizenship in the future.
