they dont need tuition waiver. they pay in state anyway. Only drawback is they cant get on campus job and cant get OPT.
Advantage is they can go part time and take less coursework (dont have to take min 9 credit hrs). They can even take a semester off without worrying about status.

Hi All,
I am thinking of looking for other job options. I want to know if you any one of you have changed jobs on EAD and your experience with the whole issue.
1. Did you find have any issues when getting 485 approved.
2. Did you file AC21.
3. Does the job responsibility has to meet 100% word by word.
4. Has any one you applied for EAD extension on your own.
5. Has any one got an RFE after changing the Job on EAD and submitting AC21. if so what kind of questions do they ask.

Yes� It�s me Sreedhar. According to the conversation with my cousin, what ever I posted here is true. I am not sure what IO said is going to be happen or not. My cousin and myself working in the same office. I will keep update what ever happen to his case.

Thanks for sharing this. I find it hard to believe what IO said (not you) . I think IO must have meant it will be current for PD 2003/2004 people. And using unused numbers from past is more of legislative thing that I am not sure if USCIS has the power to do it.

Find a colleague, who can say what you worked on etc. on a plain paper. The colleague, could very well be working somewhere else and doesn't need to be a current employee.
If you can get a letter from your employer saying what dates you worked there, you can attach letter from your colleague with it.
Also, if he is saying point blank...no letters. I hope you have W2 and income statements that you can furnish to prove your employment.

I filed my AP renewal online, I used my discover to pay my dues.
I did not submit any paperwork, I got an RFE just for photographs.
Most important thing for AP-renewal according to my experience is photographs.

I applaud you all for your time and effort in addressing issues that concern our eligibility to work legally and mutually benefit from this country. As we strive to get CIR passed, which has been elusive for years and still struggling at various levels, I was wondering why can`t we work to get small wins. I would like to mention four known ideas that we can push forward and that I believe can be accomplished via small amendments:
1) Temporarily remove Per country quota for Employment -Based Green Card
2) Do not count dependents towards numerical visa count
3) Issue EAD to candidates who have I-140 approved and renew it until Green Card number becomes available.
4) Do not tie EAD to specific company or wait six months in a position to change jobs
This four things can have a quick impact and give us all a temporary relief.
We can try and build advocacy effort to get this done. Especially for the June 7th and 8th advocacy days.

Yes, You need to file it along with the receipt notice so that they can associate it with your 485.

I had previously inquired (service request) what's up, I was told by phone they cannot even process SR because they are more than 60 days behind published dates.
Things that caused Nebraska to move back:
Transfers from Texas Service Center
180 day name check rule
Some categories moving forward in VB, and they had not been doing pre-adjudication.
They are trying to make processing dates reflect reality (and reduce service requests)
The only logical thing was to move the processing date back, if only to reduce the service requests coming in.
I don't know if they still have to process my SR, it was raised when 60 days behind, but now it is only about 34 days behind.
This is some sign of some LIMITED attempt to process as FIFO for receipt date.

Just tried, got connected after trying for 4/5 times. Automated response system sucks, its in different languages, but after pressing 1 (for English) still could not get the further menu.

As per the blog from www.immigration-law.com, today is the last day USCIS will accept any Premium Processing requests for I-140s...
06/29/2007: Today Will be the Last Date for I-140 PPS Filing
USCIS has confirmed that the last day when they will accept the I-907 premium processing request for I-140 petition is today, June 29, 2007. Obviously "accept" means physically received or e-filed within today. Again, it is uncertain when the PPS was delivered to the postal station today but not picked up today. This is the risk involving delivery of documents to the Service Center via U.S. Express Mail. Such Express Mail remains in the postal station until it is picked up by the Service Center crew.
I mailed Matthew OH about that. He has corrected the part about e-filing PPS (that's not an option)
He says thats USCIS told him that they have to be *received* today. However, the customer service rep I called said its the *postmark* date. I guess it doesnt hurt to try mailing docs today. At worst, they return it.
vkxml- I dont think that the act of opting to go PP would cause an RFE. Every case goes through the same process. It's not as if there are different rules for processing regular vs premium.

Hi Smuggymba, very sorry to see you in such a situation...
It is my understanding that you can get a 3 year H1 (transfer) with an approved I 140. However for a successful transfer, it is required to have 140 in approved state. If for some reason your 140 is cancelled or revoked before you could initiate transfer process, chances are that your H1 transfer may be denied.
My advice is to you: transfer your H1 as soon as possible before 140 is revoked....
Coming to retaining your PD, No matter what, PD is always yours... Once you move to a new company you can port your PD even if old company revokes your 140....

I still have a job this week...not sure about next...so looks like premium is the best. At least I'll have H1 extension for 3 yrs when I jump into the job market again....or is this irrelevant and I can renew even after laid off.
